Marvel Studios announced the next “I Am Groot” season will launch in September. The five brand-new shorts follows the adventures of the fan-favorite mischievous sapling. Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) official trailer is “full of all the cuteness and mischief that Baby Groot is known for,” explained Kashish Nagpal.
Groot fans will likely enjoy the second season packed with family-oriented animation even if they have not seen Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy, Guardian’s Christmas special, or Season 1 of “I am Groot.” After all, he is one of the MCU’s most popular heroes.
In Season 1, each of Baby Groot’s 6-minute energy blasts brought the troublemaker face-to-face or nose-to-nose with colorful beings and environments. For example, Groot interacts with a bonsai tree in one of the episodes. (I couldn’t stop laughing.)
Not only did Groot’s curiosity entertain, but the short was hilarious. These shorts, like most of Marvel’s animation, are rewatchable.
Moreover, Marvel’s Guardian-related sci-fi comedies can raise a person’s mood. Each can elicit emotion, but watching an “I Am Groot” short when feeling down or stressed will bring on laughter and brighten a person’s outlook.
Disney+ will begin streaming “I Am Groot” Season 2 on September 6, 2023.
